I have created a new page, which I am wanting add to our Main Menu. when I add it, although when creating it has new content, the preview and live is just duplicating the ‘about us’ page content.
I’ve tried a couple of new pages, all with the same result.
Are you sure the template is correct? Meaning, it’s possible the About Us page is hard-coded on a template that your other pages are using.
If that is the case, then that would make sense why you continue to see the same content.
That makes a lot of sense. The previous owner has a few pages sitting there not active , and same issue. Is there an easy solution?
Ideally, you already have a page template that is not hard coded. Every theme comes with a default page template to use.
If this is the case, I would simply assign this template to the page you’re are trying to build out.
If your default page template was overwritten, it’s simply a matter of adding it back. You can just copy the code from the original theme (or even, perhaps, a different theme) and create a new page template.
