I’m using the new extension target pos.order-details.action.menu-item.render and had it working great on a development store in preview mode. However, once I deploy the new version to a live app, the menu item does not appear at all. I’m using the latest version of POS on an iPad.
I know for sure the new version was released as the UI updated on the other smart grid extension target.

This is the fix:
- Activation in POS Channel Settings: After deploying your app, ensure that the extension is activated in your POS Channel settings.
I recommend to Shopify to have that configurable in the POS App. I never would have thought to enable it from a computer first. The other downside to this is because it has to be manually added on each store, very few merchants will think to do this (without obvious education).
