Hi Guys,
I have a specific requirement where I need to add a catalogue number for each product, it make sense to have this beside the SKU and Barcode.See the attached screen grab for exactly what I need.
How do I do this?

It isn’t currently possible to add a custom field in exactly that manner.
However, you could add a custom product Metafield.

Is it possible to have the new metafield displayed on the main product admin page or does it need to be edited separately?

Yes, once given a definition you can show it at the bottom of the Product page within Shopify Admin.
Head to settings → Metafields → then add a new one for your product or product variant.
You can then show these metafields on your store if you wish!
