Newbie Question: Can I design my Shopify Subdomain to match my Main Site Design?

I have a question about how customizable the Shopify store appearance is when used with another Website host. My nonprofit uses SquareSpace to host our website. We currently use SquareSpace’s online store, but are looking to move to Shopify for additional functionality. My question is this:

If my current website is www.MyNonprofit.org, can I setup a Shopify store on my subdomain at Store.MyNonprofit.org and customize the design so that it matches the template / layout on my main SquareSpace website at www.MyNonprofit.org?

I’ve heard there are add-on apps that can assist with this, but I haven’t been able to find examples or good testimonials of people who use one service to host their Webpage, and Shopify just for their Store on a subdomain. I hear Shopify is wonderful as far as functionality, but I’m concerned that its integration with my current site would not work because of this design compatibility question. If anyone could help me understand what Shopify is able to do in this context, that would be very helpful!

I found the answer 1 month later, and am posting it here in case it helps anyone: Yes, “you” can. Set up your subdomain in your Domain-Managing service, and the link it in your Shopify account and viola!
