I work for frugalbookstore.net, and we just got an email from a customer that the email/newsletter signup is not working. I went to the page myself, and it allows me to add an email in the footer, but when I click subscribe it goes to a 404 error page. As far as any of us know, this was working fine before, but I have no idea how to check if any of our customer list came from this source. We haven’t made any changes that should’ve affected this.
I’ve reviewed a dozen videos and pages on newsletter links, but none of them even address how to set up where the emails go, or having it break in this particular way, so I assume it should automatically go to our shopify customer list. There is a “form action url” field in the theme editor for this section, but I believe that is only for advanced marketing apps, do I need this to point to something?
I’m trying to figure out my footer error as well. So I have freestorebuilder premium theme. I am clueless as to what mailchimp is… I’m clueless to shopify in general so have been trying to work out all the logistics to launch my store…
Had my fiance to go on my store and click around. The stay in the loop footer gave an message "could not connect to the registration server. Please try again later. Also my refund policy and terms of service gives a 404 Not found page. Only thing that works is the privacy policy page.
