No Analytics registration on Live View Active Shopping Cart

This last week, we regularly see in the ‘Live view’ (same in phone App and web Admin dashboard) an Active Shopping Cart.

We don’t see this Active Shopping Cart on our Shopify analytics page, we also don’t see them in our Tiktik Ad Campaign as ATC

We did the proper Tiktok pixel tests and it should work correctly.

Is this an issue with the live view? Or, are both the Shopify analytics page and my Tiktok pixel not working after al?

Any ideas?

It sounds like the discrepancy is likely due to the limitations of Shopify’s “Live view” rather than an actual issue with your TikTok pixel or Shopify analytics.

  1. Live View Lag: Shopify Live view may show inaccurate or delayed data for active carts. It’s not uncommon for Live view to be inconsistent, as it relies on near-real-time tracking, which can be glitchy.
  2. TikTok Pixel & Analytics: If you’ve properly tested your TikTok pixel and ensured correct setup, and Shopify analytics shows no ATC (Add to Cart), it’s more likely that Shopify Live view is giving false positives. Double-check the pixel setup, but if the tests show no errors, the pixel is likely functioning correctly.

To verify, consider using third-party tools or cross-referencing analytics over longer periods rather than relying on real-time data.
