I am experiencing some issues with the domain transfer. I initiated it yesterday and everything went smoothly until I had to wait for the confirmation email. Basically, I unlocked my domain, Shopify confirmed that it’s unlocked and ready for transfer I then proceeded to buy it, and after that was done a pop up appeared and said that now I need to wait for an email that would probably go into the junk/spam folder of my main email. It’s been an hour still no email. Could you tell me if this is something normal in such cases and I would need to wait some more or is there some issue here?
These emails are usually sent within a 24-hour window, as they are only valid for a certain length of time. After you refresh the page, are you seeing the email at this stage? If not, it would be best to contact our support team via our live chat service here so our team can authenticate you as the owner and take a look at the domain internally. We can then investigate if there is an issue; it may just be that the email needs to be resent!
You also have the option of contacting your email service provider and making sure they have not blocked Shopify emails as spam - this can sometimes be an issue, as then emails from Shopify would be totally blocked and would not even show in your spam folder.
Are you moving from an older Shopify store to a newer Shopify store? Or are you totally moving away from Shopify?
