Selling discounted vouchers to my visitor attaction via shopify via facebook has been a vital source of income to my business for the last four years.
I recently posted a deal, and it was rejected by facebook. I looked at their selling conditions, and it states that selling vouchers to attactions/events and selling giftcards is now banned.
Am really surprised that giftcards would be banned in the time of covid, and was wondering if anyone has any experience of this.
To further add to my frustration/confusion there is a page on FB that states that you can sell giftcards through them, but I can’t get the link to work.
I understand your frustration! Facebook recently made some changes to their policies that restricts the sale of all digital items through their platform, including gift cards. It sounds like they have not updated all their documentation yet to reflect this. The best thing you can do is contact Facebook support and provide your feedback for them to consider.
Are you using any other sales channels in the meantime to promote your product or brand? If eligible I would definitely consider the TikTok sales channel or the Google sales channel.
