I am a clothing brand own and want to ask for peer review on my store and marketing strategy. I launched my Shopify store six months ago in March. So far I have only a few sales from my friends. I wonder what the issues are. Below is a list of issues I could think about. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.
Any issue with my website? Please review mittymau.com
Currently there are only six products in my store. The products are designed and made for my brand. Is too few products an issue?
I have done Google Ads and Meta Ads at about $10/day. I did Google Ads for about two months, then switched to Meta Ads thinking it would be targeting more toward my audience.
I took a look at your store and I can see you’ve put a lot of effort into your brand and products. The first thing I noticed is that the home page isn’t clearly showing the “why” factor. When someone lands on your store, they should immediately understand why they should buy from you and what makes your brand different from others. Highlighting your story or what makes your products unique could help build trust and encourage purchases.
Another thing is SEO. I’ve seen many merchants rush into running ads before optimizing their store, and it looks like your site could benefit from basic SEO improvements like meta titles, descriptions, and headings. This will help your store get found organically and complement your paid traffic.
Since you have a small number of products, it’s a good idea to focus on increasing the average order value (AOV). Product bundling is a simple way to do this, offering sets or combinations at a slight discount encourages customers to buy more than one item. Your cart could also be optimized further. Adding a slide cart and a progress bar showing how close customers are to a discount or free shipping can help guide them to complete the purchase.
Instead of using multiple apps for product bundles, slide cart, progress bar, and cart enhancements, an all-in-one solution like iCart can help. It makes adding bundles, multiple carts and progress bars straightforward, keeping the shopping experience smooth and boosting your AOV without complicating your store.
As a potential buyer, I’d probably prefer a bit more contact methods to increase my trust. You have some data in terms of service policy, but preferably have it also on the “Contact us” page. Get a burner phone and publish it also.
Value-wise – are these good value? (Not following t-short prices in US.)
Who these designs should appeal to? What’s your niche?
What’s your target group and are you properly targeting them with your paid ads?
And do you have stats from Google search console – you can’t live from paid ads only.
I like your red and pink designs, but I’d also consider adding some less tranquil designs as well, some designs that are more “making a statement” type.
Also – do not make visitors make extra clicks : visitor clicks"Collection" but there are no products there, just links to more collections. Streamline your navigation. Do not try to look bigger then you are.
Having a small assortment is not a problem but can be a benefit from this point of view: you can show them all on your homepage in a product grid.
And, yes – size guide/chart should remove some buyers hesitation.
Review are not helping here – one mentions “oversized t-shirt” another – “true to size”
The store design and contents look very beautiful. It leaves me a good impression when I firstly access your store, but in your New In and White Tee two collections, there exist same products displaying. I wonder if they are okay to show like this. Better double check on your end.
Thank you @tim_tairli for your honest feedback. It is very helpful to see from a potential buyer’s perspective. I will update my website and product selection according to your recommendations. I appreciate your help very much!
Thank you @SEOAnt-Vera for the compliment and pointing out the issue. I have noticed that issue and wondered what happened, as it wasn’t like that before. I will fix it. Appreciate your feedback!
@rutvik_shop Thanks for your feedback. I realized I needed to work on SEO, and I am still learning how to optimize it. Appreciate you pointing that out. Highlighting the brand mission in the landing page is a good suggestion. I will work on that.
