Hi, my store, monicasluxe.com, is not having any sales after two months. I don’t know what’s wrong with the store. As per my checklist, everything is smooth with the store. Could anyone please guide me?
Topic summary
A store owner reports zero sales after two months of operation and seeks guidance on what might be wrong with their e-commerce site (monicasluxe.com).
Primary Issues Identified:
-
Traffic & Marketing: Multiple respondents emphasize the lack of paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and retargeting campaigns to drive qualified traffic and re-engage visitors who don’t convert immediately.
-
SEO Problems: Analysis reveals poor organic visibility, incomplete meta descriptions (exceeding 150 characters), missing structured data for rich snippets (reviews/images in search results), and improper brand name display in Google search results. The site lacks blog content and keyword optimization in product descriptions.
-
Missing Social Proof: No customer reviews or user-generated content to build trust and credibility with potential buyers.
Recommended Actions:
- Connect to Google Search Console and Analytics 4 to track performance metrics
- Start small-budget Google Shopping Ads campaigns ($50/month suggested)
- Implement review collection tools and display social proof
- Add product videos, FAQ section, and “best sellers” showcase to homepage
- Conduct comprehensive SEO audit and optimize product pages with high-volume keywords
- Ensure mobile-friendly, fast-loading site performance
The consensus is that while the store design appears solid, success requires active marketing investment (both paid and organic efforts) combined with technical SEO improvements.
Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. Hope our expertise could help solve your problem.
While having a well-designed site and a solid product lineup is essential, getting the right traffic-and then converting that traffic-is where marketing makes all the difference. To boost your store’s visibility and start driving sales, I highly recommend exploring Google Ads and Facebook Ads. These platforms can streamline the process of reaching a much larger audience by targeting users who are actively searching for products like yours or who fit your ideal customer profile.
However, simply bringing in new visitors isn’t always enough, as most shoppers don’t make a purchase on their first visit. This is where retargeting campaigns become incredibly effective. Retargeting allows you to show personalized ads to people who have recently visited your website, reminding them of the products they viewed and encouraging them to return and complete their purchase. This approach is proven to increase conversion rates, boost brand recall, and maximize your return on ad spend. By combining retargeting with your initial Google and Facebook ad campaigns, you create a marketing funnel that not only attracts new visitors but also efficiently brings back those who are most likely to buy.
Hey there @MayurSukhadiya the store looks pretty good and well set to me tbh. The only suggestions or additions I would make for now if I were in your issues
-
The images there are already high quality, so I’ll throw in some quality short videos into the product gallery
-
A section for best sellers on the homepage
-
Add some FAQs on the homepage as well.
If you’re not seeing sales, it could be a few things. First, check your traffic sources to ensure you’re attracting the right audience. Make sure your store’s user experience is optimized, with clear product information, high-quality images, and a seamless checkout process. It’s also important to assess your pricing to ensure it’s competitive in the market. Finally, review your analytics to identify where customers may be dropping off. Addressing these areas should help improve your conversion rate and drive more sales.
Hi! @MayurSukhadiya
I hope you’re doing well. It’s Erlan from Growave
- SEO: To increase sales, you need to improve your store’s visibility, In order to do so, you should invest in a tool like Ahrefs. It provides keyword research tools to identify both short-tail and long-tail keywords that are crucial for attracting relevant traffic. Additionally, Ahrefs offers features like competitor analysis, backlink tracking, site audits, and rank tracking, all of which help improve your SEO strategy and overall site performance. To further optimize your site, make sure you’re integrating relevant keywords throughout, especially in your product descriptions and the Brand Story section, which is a key part of establishing your identity and connecting with customers. Lastly, starting a blog and writing about important topics, such as industry trends, company news, and updates on your products, is vital. Posting consistently with valuable content boosts SEO and drives organic traffic, which I noticed is currently lacking on your site after checking it on Ahrefs.
- Social Proof: Social proof is critical for building trust and encouraging conversions. Incorporating a reviews app allows customers to leave feedback, which directly influences potential buyers’ decisions. To further boost social proof, leverage user-generated content (UGC) like photos and testimonials, which show real experiences with your products. An app like Growave streamlines the process by collecting reviews and displaying shoppable Instagram galleries to enhance engagement. Moreover, Growave offers reward programs, motivating customers to leave reviews by offering incentives, which can boost both the quantity and quality of feedback.
Also don’t overlook the power of site optimization, ensure your website is mobile-friendly, fast-loading, and performs well on all devices. Using tools like Google’s PageSpeed Insights can help improve load times and provide valuable insights into performance. These elements all contribute to higher customer trust and increased sales.
Good luck!
Hi MayurSukhadiya,
Are you investing anything in marketing? And by investing I don’t just mean monetarily, I mean efforts too (organic methods).
First things first, conduct an SEO audit of your domain. If you have not connected your domain to Google search console, then please do.
Search console will you valuable insights on how you are ranking on Google, for what queries, which queries bring clicks, etc.
Additionally, connect your domain to Google Analytics 4 as well, this will give you an even deeper insight into how your product pages are performing.
From there you can start targeting individual product pages for SEO optimization. Target pages that decent traffic first (>100 clicks), add high volume keywords in the titles and descriptions, etc.
The next thing you can do is run Google Shopping Ads. There is a free listing option available as well.
For Shopping ads, start out with a small budget of say $50 (monthly) and see how it goes from there. To start running Google Shopping Ads you will need a Google ads account and a Google Merchant Center account. You can install the Google & Youtube app from the Shopify app store. Or you can use a product feed app like AdNabu, that offers features like AI product feed optimization, product score, keyword sourcing, multilingual product feeds, etc. It allows you to create feeds for other marketplaces too to run ads on like TikTok, Bing, Pinterest, Snapchat, X, Meta, and more.
You can run ads on other marketplaces too.
Let me know if you need any further help!
To find out the cause code why you have no sales for two months, I have searched your website on Google, and here is what it shows below:
- Some meta descriptions are not displayed completely. This may affect your user’s first impression when managing to access your store. Keep your meta description content within 150 characters, and it will make your content display better in the search results.
- You can add some images or reviews in the search results to make the content display more colorfully. To achieve this effect, you can consider using Structured Data, and here is the guideline you can read for reference.
- Your store name is not displaying properly in search results, which may make it hard to identify your brand name and influence further brand awareness on the store. You can optimize this part from the Shopify background or check the issue listed in Google Search Console to do further checks.
Overall, it may take you some time to do store optimization until you can get some sales eventually, but you will pay off after doing these optimizations. Doing a casual SEO check is also necessary on your store under this situation, you can use it to further boost store content and find more elements that need to be resolved on the store. I hope my answer works here in some ways. Thank you!
