Hi @ChristinaRandol , maybe you should consider a ‘lighter’ design, your accessibility is not good, it should be green. In order to fix this:

  • Change text color - so it’s more readable
  • Add descriptive link text (avoid read more, learn more etc.)
  • Add alt attributes to your images (you can do this through Shopify admin - click on image, you’ll see a field ‘alt attribute’ write description, for example: “Hellbound T-shirt”)

Hi @ChristinaRandol

Congratulations on opening a new store and Welcome to Shopify Сommunity. If nobody goes further than the landing page, it could mean that you need to improve the visual appeal, design, and UI of your store. Here are some suggestions that you can work on. I hope it would help.

Update Main Menu. Consider locating Main Menu on the top of the page for better visibility.

About Us section. Add more information to the About Us section regarding your business and founders for customer trust. Showing your store visitors that you are real by putting information and photos will add credibility to the store.

Update colours. Consider updating the colours of your store especially the font for better UI and visibility.

More products. There are only 3 products at your store. Consider adding more products so that your customers will have more options to select from. Providing more products can increase Average Order Value.

Reviews to demonstrate. I strongly advise adding testimonials/reviews to products for building customer trust and social proof. Try to collect reviews from your first sales. You can motivate customers to leave testimonials through the Loyalty and Rewards program.

Implement a Rewards/Loyalty system. It will help you to strengthen customer relationships and increase repeat purchases. Motivate your purchasers by setting points for leaving reviews, following you on social media accounts, referring to friends, etc. Gained points can be exchanged for free delivery, present or discount.

Good luck with your store!

Hello Christina,

Sorry about the issue of no sales in your store.

I conducted a audit on your store and i saw the reasons why it is not making conversions:

  1. Your store color is not captivating.

  2. Product tags and meta tags are not SEO rank which makes it hard for customers to find their desired product in search engine.

  3. No product collections like featured collections, best sellers

The issue is not your accessibility or your website colors or not having featured collections (when you only have 3 products). You’re building a brand. How popular is your brand? Why would someone buy a Vigro shirt over any other shirt? What is your target demographic? How targeted is your marketing? How do people come to know about you? Are they landing on your page in the top/middle/bottom of your conversion funnel? Do you have any sort of email list, or community around your brand? Any influencers?

“Build it and they will come” does not apply to websites unfortunately. There’s a lot of work in brand building. I’d highly recommend the Digital Marketing Course from Google: https://www.coursera.org/learn/foundations-of-digital-marketing-and-e-commerce

After deriving the email list you suggested and blasting a campaign or creating a sales funnel, how converting or interactive is the store without the store owner.

@P1Commerce I agree with everything you’ve mentioned. But accessibility is more than important, since you can be sued if accessibility is not covered.

I didn’t meant to imply that accessibility wasn’t important (or that the UX couldn’t be improved) - only that the reason for the lack of sales isn’t due to visually impaired people being unable to navigate his site.
