I need to add a note to the checkout page explaining how USPS Media Mail works. I tried to do it using the Checkout Blocks app, but that app doesn’t add stuff to the checkout page for some weird reason. Does anyone know how to add a note to the checkout page?

Oh I also tried adding a note under the “Choose shipping method” section of the “Theme Content” page but that didn’t work either.

may I ask which store plan you are using?

Checkout page is restricted for non-Plus plans.
If you’re not a Plus member, what you can do is:

  1. Enable cart notes in your theme settings
  2. Edit the shipping method title to reflect a small note
  3. Put your Checkout Blocks block on the order status or thank you page.

I have the basic plan

checkout page customization only open for plus plan.

Where am I enabling cart notes?

Depends on the theme but mine is on the cart page template in the theme customizer. Some have it under theme settings.

Go to online store-Themes-Customize–settings-cart and enable pls see the below steps screenshot

To add a note about USPS Media Mail:

  1. Go to Settings > Checkout > Manage checkout language

  2. Search for “Shipping method notice”

  3. Add your note in the text field

If this doesn’t work, edit the shipping method name itself in Settings > Shipping to include “(Media Mail - Slower delivery)”.

Full checkout customization requires Shopify Plus, which is likely why other methods failed.

Checkout is more locked down.
A minimum move is to try to cram into into the literal name of the shipping method when it’s editable by merchants.
Or put it into the logo/image asset used on checkout.
Or changing the translation content of some labels.

Really you may need to try and do this education before checkout.
Keep in mind if your trying to convey more than a few words , entire paragraphs during the checkout step that something has already gone wrong and cramming stuff where it doesn’t belong can kill conversions.
