Nothing happens when I click a collection in shop

Hi All

I don’t know if I am missing something really obvious here but I just can’t seem to understand where I am going wrong!

On my website (in the studio theme) I have added a collection list on the shop page where I have 9 different collections. I want people to be able to click into each collection and go to that collections page, however when clicking on any of them nothing happens at all. It doesn’t say ‘no products to display’ as some other people have said, it just kind of refreshes the page and nothing whatsoever changes.

I have made sure that the products are all actually in their corresponding collections and have made the collections ‘available’ but still nothing.

I have tried getting rid of the collection lists and putting them back in again and making sure that I linked them to the right collections properly but the same thing happened the second time too.

I can’t seem to find any information online and all of the youtube tutorials are just of how to actually create the collections themselves and add products to them, so any help would so so appreciated as I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure whats going on!

Thanks so much for your reply. I have spoken to shopify chat support this morning and they checked the issue their end and said there appears to be a bug in the theme, so they are sending it over to the themes team and will get back to me asap.

I found a way around it for my purpose,

Instead of using collections to separate the products directly on my store i create pages for each of them and add the products separated on each of them,

Hi AmySquirrels, I’m having the same issue. I have spoken to shopify chat support and so they are sending it over to the themes team. It’s have been a whole day and they still havent responded. Did you find the solution?

I want to do that but I think adding them in their own collections seems more cleaner.

Hey! I figured it out, you need to check out if where you are trying to add a collection isn’t a collection. Seems confusing but you can’t add/display a collection inside another collection, it’s often mistaken by a normal “page” but where you really are is inside a collection already.

Just double check and make sure you are separating collections and pages

A bit confusing but hope it helps.
