I have a quick question. Is there a way to get email notifications for new discussions about wholesale in the Shopify Community?
I’d like to stay updated whenever someone starts a discussion related to wholesale. Is that possible?

As far as I know Shopify Community doesn’t currently offer email notifications for every new discussion based on a specific keyword like Wholesale.
You can follow the relevant category or board and subscribe to individual discussions to receive updates. However, if you’re looking for automatic email alerts whenever any new wholesale related topic is created, I don’t believe that’s currently supported.
It would certainly be a useful feature request for merchants who want to stay informed about specific topics.

Yes, it is possible! Enabling “Subscribe” or “Email Subscription” for any particular topic or label (like wholesale) in the Shopify Community will allow you to receive email notifications for new discussions.

Both earlier answers are partly right. Keyword-based email alerts do not exist here, but you can get close with tags. Open the wholesale tag page and set its notification level to Watching First Post using the bell icon. The community software then emails you whenever a new topic is created with that tag. It is broader than following a single topic and narrower than a true keyword alert, but for a common subject like wholesale it catches most new discussions.
No. Trying to get notifications of every time someone talks about wholesale is not an option.
What is an option is to go to a Category, click the bell icon and choose Watching preference.

Then go to Settings → Emails and choose your preference.
Easy peasy.
Shopify doesn’t have that setup either from lack of discourse-enterprise-plan or no intereset in setting up the the saved search plugin.
Go to https://community.shopify.com/c/product-developement-sourcing/286/l/new
and turn on notifications then do the keyword filtering with your email client/service
Otherwise use search engines crawlers as others recommeded.
first thing you need to understand that is not “wholesale” is not keyword, its my business domain.

Thanks for the clarification, Ben. I understand what you mean now. I was thinking of it from a keyword perspective, whereas you’re referring to your entire business domain. I agree that having the ability to follow discussions by business domain or area of interest would be much more useful than tracking individual keywords. Hopefully that’s something Shopify considers in the future. Thanks for explaining!

You can stay up to date by following related topics or conversations in the Shopify Community and you can customize your notification preferences. Or you can visit the wholesale sections from time to time and bookmark any interesting threads. Without downloading updates, it lets you follow discussions and see insights from other merchants.
