Most post-purchase funnels I’ve seen are a single offer. The buyer says yes, good. The buyer says no, the page closes, and that’s the end of it.
The second sale is usually on the other side of that no. Shopify lets a buyer accept up to three offers on the same order, it was two until September 2024, and nothing says the offer after a decline has to be the one you’d show after an accept. A cheaper version, a smaller size, one more unit of what they just bought. A decline is information, not a dead end.
Almost nobody builds that branch. Not because it’s technically hard, but because designing it means working out what someone who just said no would still say yes to, and that’s a miserable thing to do alone at 11pm.
