Why is the old name (Dripjunction) still showing, even though I already changed it in Preferences?
I was going to just ignore it, but when I checked a ‘show shop name’ box in a third-party Shopify app, it showed Dripjunction instead of Coolsual. I don’t want to have to manually correct it every time that happens.
Hi,
This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
There could be a few reasons why the old name (Dripjunction) is still showing up even after you’ve changed it in Preferences:
1. Cache:
- Browser Cache: Your browser might be caching the old name. Try clearing your browser cache and hard reloading the page (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R).
- Shopify Cache: Shopify itself might have cached the old name. You can try clearing Shopify’s cache by going to Online Store > Themes and clicking Actions > Purge Cache.
2. Third-Party App Cache:
- The third-party app you mentioned might be caching the old name. Try contacting their support for specific instructions on clearing their app’s cache or force-refreshing the app’s connection to your store.
3. DNS Propagation:
- If you recently changed your domain name, it might take some time for the DNS changes to propagate across all servers. This can cause inconsistencies in how your store’s name is displayed.
Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
Best regards,
