Has anyone come across an app that allows you to control the shipping fee when a customer adds items to cart that are from different locations? For example, we have two different products that each ship from a different location, so Shopify doubles the shipping fee if a customer has both in their cart. We would like to only charge our flat rate for both items.

It is possible via APP but it is required to enable CCS on the store before using an app.

May i know do you have enabled CCS on your store?

We have both a flat-rate shipping rate that we have set along with carrier-calculated shipping rates set at checkout.

Regarding third party carrier service, i am not sure about your setup, And as i know shipping is complex thing on Shopify, app have live chat support and you can take a support there and use if all your requirements fulfil.

We seemed to have found a solution for this problem of double shipping rate. Using our ShipMagic app’s Shipping Customization feature, you can actually setup rules such that double charging of the shipping cost is avoided.

This solution works even for the Basic shopify plan. But it only works if you use flat rate shipping.

We now have a solution to the multi origin shipping issue.

  • For price based rates or flat rates, we can do this WITHOUT CCS, you can be on the Basic plan

  • For live rates and other rate types, you will need CCS (Minimum plan is the ‘Shopify’ plan and CCS is free if you are on annual billing), and all rates will need to be setup within the app for this to work correctly.
