I have a client who has multiple stores in different locations with different needs/pricing required who want to have their microsites for each location. I’m not wanting to stray from one inventory, as there are a lot of SKUs that will have to be managed multiple times if they were all separate stores. Can I have multiple microsites of the same store using the one backend inventory, and be able to customise the pricing of products based on the store? Either as separate store microsites, or if there is a “choose your store” feature that can be built in to the one site?
Topic summary
Seeks a way to support multiple location-specific storefronts with different pricing while sharing one inventory to avoid managing SKUs multiple times. The goal is to keep a single backend inventory across all locations.
Asks whether Shopify can: (a) run multiple microsites/storefronts from one store backend with per-store pricing, or (b) provide a single site with a “choose your store” selector that switches pricing by location.
Key terms: microsite = distinct storefront for a location under one brand; SKU = stock keeping unit; single backend inventory = one shared stock pool synced across fronts.
No answers or solutions yet; the request is for feasibility and implementation options. Status: open/unresolved.
