I want to warn you about a fraudulent scheme run by Kinekt Design, which continues to operate on Shopify, scamming customers. Over the years, the owner, Glen, has taken preorders for products that he never delivers. His tactic is to drag out the process beyond the three-month dispute window, making it impossible for customers to file chargebacks. Unfortunately, I, along with many others, have fallen victim to this. Glen regularly sends out promotional emails, offering discounts and package deals to entice unsuspecting customers into preordering. Despite numerous complaints, Glen continues to collect money from customers while failing to deliver any products.

The Better Business Bureau has also received many complaints about Kinekt Design’s unethical business practices, almost a dozen over the past year alone:

Glen even launched a fraudulent Kickstarter campaign for a product called “Ziggy,” which was banned after being investigated. He collaborated with fm_studioss on Instagram to create visuals that misled people into preordering these non-existent products:

I’ve tried reporting this to Shopify, but all I received was a boilerplate response suggesting I file a chargeback. As a loyal customer who trusted Glen for nearly a decade, I allowed him to string me along until it was too late to take any action. This scheme is still ongoing, and more people are falling victim. Shopify needs to step in and take down Kinekt Design before more unsuspecting customers get scammed.
