I’m getting ready to launch my Shopify website tomorrow, but when testing, I am only offered the option of using PayPal when making a payment.
I’ve done two step verification, I’m in the right region, I’ve gone into Settings/Payment and all the credit card options are checked…but nothing seems to be working!
Could you share a link to your store with me here so I can take a look to see how this appears from my location?
You mentioned you had enabled a credit card gateway in the settings > payments menu of your admin, could you let us know which one it is and where in the world you are located?
The more information you can give us here the better we will be able to understand and help out.
I’m using the Studio theme. I deleted the PayPal as a payment form because 1) I don’t have a PayPal account yet and 2) Out of curiosity, and perhaps desperation, I wanted to see if I deleted this option, then the other sources of payment (Visa, MC, AMEX, etc), would show up. They did not.
Right now, when someone goes to check out, it says something like: Seller is not accepting payments. ???
I deleted the PayPal option for paying for two reasons: 1) I don’t have PayPal as of yet, and 2) Out of desperation and curiosity, I was hopeful that if I deleted the PayPal option the other credit cards would miraculously show up. I was wrong.
Right now, when someone goes to check out, it says that I am not accepting payments right now.
The good news is I was able to add a product to the cart, click on the cart itself and then proceed through your checkout flow (using dummy personal info) where I can currently see the option to check out with a credit card, PayPal, or Shop Pay:
Could you let me know which credit card gateway you have enabled in the settings > checkout menu in your admin, and where in the world your store is based so we can check for availability there?
If you could also let me know what you see currently when adding a product to your cart, clicking on the cart, and proceeding through the checkout flow, we can check to see what this looks like currently from your end.
