We need an official sales channel by Shopify for OpenAI Ads.

I think this would make a lot of sense especially now that OpenAI supports product feed–based ad campaigns. An official Shopify sales channel could automatically sync product catalogs, inventory, pricing, and availability without merchants having to build or maintain custom feed integrations.
Ideally it would work much like the existing Google & YouTube or Shop channels letting merchants publish selected products monitor feed health, and track conversions directly from Shopify. As AI-powered shopping continues to grow having native support would lower the barrier for merchants who want to advertise through ChatGPT without relying on third-party tools or manual exports.
I agree, but I’d want Shopify’s version to cover more than a basic catalog export:
- Select products by market, collection, or tag.
- Sync price, inventory, variants, images, and availability at least daily.
- Show rejected items and the exact field causing each error.
- Add conversion tracking and campaign attribution inside Shopify.
For now, the practical route is to create the required feed, send it over SFTP, and schedule a daily rebuild rather than maintaining it by hand. Keep stable product IDs, exclude unpublished or out-of-stock items, and validate variant prices and landing URLs before each upload.
I’d also submit this through Shopify Support as a sales channel feature request. Community posts help show demand, but support tickets are more likely to get attached to the internal request.
