Opening a Shopify account under 18

Hello,

I have a question:

Can I open a Shopify account/store while under 18 and how will the billing of the store work?

Where should I provide my parent’s data (if i can) and where mine?

Thanks for posting your question to the forums!

In order to own a Shopify account, you must be at least 18 years of age. This means that if you are under 18, you are not eligible to open a Shopify account or store on your own.

That being said, it is possible for a parent or guardian to open a Shopify account and store on your behalf. In this case, your parent or guardian would be responsible for managing the account and store, including billing and payment information.
