Order confirmation: attached PDF broken

Dear community,

I’ve been struggling with this issue for quite a while now:

when shopify sends an order confirmation via email to a customer, the attached PDF files
including our terms of service and refund policy show a couple of blank pages, some pages
have a header with broken symbols.
It looks like the PDF engine doesn’t render PDFs properly.

At the bottom of our order confirmation template there is the following code:

{%- if shop.terms_of_service.body != blank -%}
{{ shop.terms_of_service | attach_as_pdf: "AGB" }}
{%- endif -%}

{%- if shop.refund_policy.body != blank -%}
{{ shop.refund_policy | attach_as_pdf: "Widerrufsrecht" }}
{%- endif -%}

Can anyone help me out?

We will need to check that in the backend. Please send that to us (https://bit.ly/3cwO7ym) including examples of the affected pdfs and some screenshots or an order-confirmation email example.

The reason you need to send that to us is because there many who are reporting this issue (see another thread here) and therefore we need merchants to send us tickets so this can be sent to our developers for further examination. The more Tickets we get the better! :wink:

It could be something small and simple, but we can’t say for sure at the present moment.
