We recently moved our online shop to Shopify and started receiving complaints from customers receiving more than 1 order confirmation or order confirmations for orders they never placed.
After doing some digging around online I learned that Shopify creates an order automatically already in the checkout. However, how many visitors end the order process during checkout?! It doesn’t make sense at all from a CX perspective to create and confirm orders before they are even placed (and paid) by customers.
Did anyone find a workaround that actually works?
@Shopify_77 Do you have a brilliant solution for this hitch in the purchase process?
