Hi,
We create orders on our Partner’s stores via Custom Apps using the Shopify API (by creating a Draft Order and promoting it to an Order) on behalf of our customers.
The problem we have is that we set the price on the order to be the price we purchase from our Partner, which is less than the price we sell to our customers (which includes our commission). Our customers are seeing this lower price in their confirmation email from the Partner and it’s causing confusion. I know we can set the order price as we wish and so could set the order price to match our price to the customer, but this would then potentially cause our Partners’ reporting to be incorrect.
I’m wondering if there’s a way to set different pricings on the order for what the customer sees (in their confirmation email) vs what the store owner (our Partner) sees (on their orders sheet). Also, I wonder if there’s a best practice for our style of reseller/intermediary arrangement with our Partners that we’ve missed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
