I’d like to make a special offer to customers from a specific country: a 20% discount only if the shipping country is France. I couldn’t find how to proceed. Do you have any idea?

You can add Shopify scripts to achieve this if you’re on Shopify Plus. If not, you can create discount then find an 3rd party app of app store, it offers more advanced discounting rules.

As I understand, you want to apply discount codes for the customers from selective countries eg: 20% on shipping country France(As per your query)

Basically what you do is create a discount code in Shopify and then you pair it with a simple geolocation or cart condition script. If you have Shopify Plus, you can use Shopify Scripts or Functions to apply the discount only when shipping to the country of France. If not, apps such as Discount Ninja can take care of it.
Shopify’s native discounts can’t automatically apply based on shipping country. You have two options:
1. Native Workaround (Limited): Create a customer segment for “Country is France” and target a discount to that segment. This only works for logged-in customers.
2. App Solution (Recommended): Use an app like Discount Rules & Bundles or Octolize Shipping Discounts from the Shopify App Store. These can apply discounts automatically for all customers shipping to France.
The app approach is more reliable as it works for guest checkouts too.
