Our store used to have single customer accounts. Since acquiring another business which has customers/partners with multiple locations, we have begun to switch our old customers to B2B and create Companies to assign catalogs.
Doing this, however, now stops the existing “Classic” customer from seeing their order history because those orders have not been placed on their B2B Company account. Orders from the “Classic” account can’t be brought into nor viewed from the “Company” account. The only work around for this is to create a new Customer with a new email and have the customer use the old email (unassigned from the Company) to access history and use the new email to create new orders.
This is a major limitation and I hope others will upvote this so Shopify can see how much this functionality is needed.
