After printing an order, the order row in the order list should visually change color or show a colored print status column, so staff can immediately see which orders have already been printed without needing to filter. This would prevent duplicate printing and accidental double-fulfillment.

Shopify’s order list does not support this feature. There is no built-in option to show print status, change row color, or mark orders as printed.
We can automatically add a tag like “Printed” using Shopify Flow (for example, after fulfillment or another action). This tag will be visible in the order list and help staff quickly identify printed orders.
You would think right? But actually Shopify is not meant to be your complete business platform. At bare minimum pricing plans, it only provides basic functionality. If you want a business management software package there is a market for that. Zoho, Brightpearl, Infios, etc.
