We are using Shopify POS for a hair salon client. We’d like to add the ability to select the staff who worked on the order (which isn’t necessarily the person who operated the POS at checkout).
We’ve created the appropriate order metafield (which works well on the web interface and Shopify app). However, when it comes to Shopify POS, the metafield isn’t visible in the order section.
Any ideas of how to implement this, or is there an alternative approach we could consider?
Thank you for reaching out. What you can do with metafields in Shopify POS is limited as management of the metafields primarily occurs in the Shopify admin. While you can access and view your metafields in Shopify POS, I don’t believe it’s possible to do what you’re looking for here within the POS app.
