Order notes typing stops after short delay

A customer has pointed out an annoying glitch/feature with order notes, whereby the typing box tabs out if there is a short delay in typing a message. That is, if someone type for a bit then pauses for a second, the text cursor disappears and they have to click back into the box to resume the message.

It seems to be an issue on both mobile and desktop. I do often rely on order notes during certain product sales, and would hate to think of customers getting frustrated enough to abandon their checkout. Anyone had similar issues?

Hi @tentickletoys :waving_hand: is this in the merchants admin , or the frontend for customers.

If it’s the admin contact shopify support directly and file a bug report.

If it’s the frontend then there’s either errors or more likey apps or nonsense javascript like analytics stuff messing with form/input focus.

In which case it’s your responsibility to fix ; unless your using a first party theme by shopify and can prove it’s a bug in the theme.
