I have started my e-commerce store on shopify about 6 weeks ago and have had no activity on the store. As a new comer, just starting out. How do I attract traffic to my store that will also ensure that I attract the right costumers that are interested in purchasing and how do I grow this traffic organically over time?

I spoke about the differences between brick and mortar and online businesses during the live AMA.
In some regards you need to treat your online business like a traditional business.
If you were opening a brick and mortar business you would start actively marketing your business long before the grand opening.
This is all designed to generate attention, interest, hype and early adopters.
The same needs to happen for online stores.
You need to tell all your friends and family, all the other businesses in your town. The local politicians always want more businesses creating revenue and jobs in their community. Your challenge now is gaining awareness.
Remember a physical business gets walking traffic, online stores get nothing. You need to fight for every bit of awareness you can. Figure out where your customers spend their time and go to them.
