Organizing sold out products

So I have an “archive” collection on my shopify where all sold products go once they sell. I sell vintage so nothing is the same thus no restocks. I like having a sold out tab so customers can see what sold/what they missed out on.

My issue is that there is no sorting option that organizes the sold products in the order they sell.
The only two that would seem to make sense are “The By Date: Newest to oldest” and “Manual.” The former adds the pieces into the archive by the date they were created and not sold. So for example, if I sell something I’ve had listed for awhile it automatically goes to say, page 3 of the archive collection instead of the top of page 1.

Manual sorting is just annoying…the sold product automatically goes to the bottom of the archive collection, aka the last page at the very bottom. And manually sorting to the top every time something sells is kind of a pain.
I’m hoping someone knows a way to do this! I’ve googled everything and can’t seem to find anything addressing my specific issue!
Thanks in advance!!

Hi @WSProductions

You can create a collection using Shopify admin having condition of quantity less than zero.

And edit your all collection and add condition of quantity greater than zero.

This will remove all your sold out product from collection and add it to sold out collection.

Hope this will help…

Thanks for the reply!
I already have a sold out collection and In stock collection that are separate using the method you mentioned.
The issue is that when a product goes from the in stock collection to the out of stock collection it does not go in order of when it sold. I want the most recently sold to be at the top of my sold out collection rather than somewhere random in that collection.
