Hello @slaocker ,
Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.
Orphan pages are pages on your website that are not linked to by any other pages on your site, making them difficult for search engines to find and index. There are some steps you can take to fix orphan pages on your Shopify site.
Identify orphan pages
Use a tool like AHREFS to identify which pages on your site are orphaned. Make a list of these pages so that you can work through them one by one.
Link to orphan pages
The easiest way to fix orphan pages is to link to them from other pages on your site. Make sure to link to these pages from relevant pages and use descriptive anchor text. You can also consider adding links to these pages from your site’s footer or sidebar.
Submit an XML sitemap
Submitting an XML sitemap to search engines like Google can help ensure that all of your pages are indexed. Shopify automatically generates an XML sitemap for your site, which you can submit to search engines through their webmaster tools.
Use internal linking
Make sure that all of the pages on your site are interlinked in a logical way. Use internal linking to connect related pages and make it easier for users and search engines to navigate your site.
Remove orphan pages
If you have orphan pages that are no longer relevant or important, consider removing them from your site. This can help to streamline your site and improve its overall SEO.
By following these steps, you can fix orphan pages on your Shopify site and improve your site’s overall SEO.
Gina
Hi Gina,
We have done steps 1 and 3
Step 2 & 4 - there are already links within the pages
Number 5 is not an option.
Any other ideas?
Cheers
