2 parts to this question:
- New theme product reference in in collections etc
Legacy themes had a unique product reference “product.id”. We’ve noticed that the Dawn theme seems to have a new reference “product_card_product”. Will this now be the new unique reference on collection pages for products in all OS 2.0 themes built by Shopify developed and 3rd party theme developers?
- App blocks for collections?
In connection to the above and so that product ratings can be displayed on collection pages and other theme elements (not product pages), are there plans to release an app block or similar or another method to provide the user with an easy way to manage where they can place review rating elements in the new OS2.0 themes? We’ve noticed that he Shopify Product reviews app appears to still rely on code in the theme to display these elements on collection pages.
We use JS and not metafields for display.
