We’re trying to allow our B2B customers to buy larger quantities than we have listed and over buy products that we may have to source from a distributor.
However, we do not want our regular customers to be able to do this.
Is there a way to turn on overselling just for our B2B customers? Or even if we could turn it on for a catalog, that would be ideal.
If you are using a seperate b2b catalog then you can allow items to oversell in that catalog only.
Another possibility is to create seperate products for b2b customers and allow overselling in b2b products. The first option is recommended method for plus customers using B2B features of shopify.
How do you allow overselling for a specific catalog? That’s what I was trying to do, but couldn’t find a way to do it.
If you’re talking about duplicating products, that’s not a viable solution for us with 5,000+ products. Also, wouldn’t duplicating every product break our inventory systems? Not to mention to maintenance of keeping 2 entire sets of catalogs.
