Page design Help

Topic summary

A user seeks help recreating a specific event page design (from afrobeatstotheworld.com/shows) on their Shopify store using the Crave theme, specifically wanting to add a ticket button to their layout.

Suggested approaches:

  • Use full-width hero sections with overlay text for event details
  • Implement grid layouts with clear CTA buttons for event listings
  • Apply bold color schemes with dark/neutral backgrounds
  • Consider countdown timers or embedded videos for dynamic appeal

Key recommendation: Treat tickets as standard Shopify products rather than custom sections. This involves:

  • Setting up tickets as products with “Buy Now” functionality
  • Using collection pages or featured product sections
  • Adjusting product card dimensions through custom code to match the desired layout

The discussion emphasizes working within Shopify’s native product structure rather than attempting custom workarounds, which could create ongoing technical difficulties.

Hi @mojeed123

It’s got a vibrant, event-focused vibe that I’d love to help you recreate on your Crave theme in Shopify. To get that clean, bold look, start by using a full-width hero section with a striking background image and overlay text for your key event details. Crave’s customization options make this super doable.

Add a grid layout for your event listings with clear, clickable buttons (like their “Get Tickets” CTAs) using Shopify’s built-in sections or a custom block setup. Keep the color scheme punchy yet cohesive and think bold accents against a dark or neutral base, which Crave supports through its style settings. If you want that dynamic feel, consider a countdown timer app or embedded video block to hype up your events, both easy to integrate

not sure what you are asking.

how do i go about achieving it on my end please

i want to put a ticket button here

I would have to look at it more closely to see how you have this set up. but…

I would try to make the tickets just like any other product in Shopify. use the buy now feature if you like. may just have to adjust the size and shape of the product card to do so.

if you try and reinvent the wheel and try to make the non product sections into products it just isn’t what the platform is meant for and you will have difficulty and problems.

so… if you use either collection pages or the featured products section you can add some code to make the product card a similar size and shape as what you have now

let me know if that makes sense.
