After a theme upgrade (Dawn 14.0.0), the gaps between sections changed from white to a blue matching the header. The store owner wants those inter-section backgrounds back to white. Screenshots and a live URL were provided; visuals are central to the issue.
Most relevant diagnosis: the blue is coming from Color Scheme 1’s Background gradient. In Shopify themes, a color scheme is a preset palette applied per section; a background gradient is the fill behind those sections. Suggested fix: remove the background/gradient from Color Scheme 1, then create a separate color scheme for the blue brand color (#40c0cb) and assign that only to sections like the header, leaving content section gaps white.
An alternative fix proposed adding custom code in theme.liquid above , but the actual code snippet was not visible in the post, so implementation details are missing.

Hi all,
Website template has done an upgrade, everything is OK except now i am stuck with the website background/gaps between sections being the blue colour (same as our header) where they used to be white. I have tried adjusting colours of the themes and the header section etc but with no luck.
Any help here would be appreciated.

The pointed color is coming from Color Scheme 1’s Background gradient.
You can remove the bg from this color scheme and create another color scheme for background (#40c0cb) and assign to all other sections like header, etc
