Page says sold out when inventory is >0

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner encountered an issue where product pages displayed “sold out” despite having inventory greater than zero on Dawn theme version 15.2.0.

Troubleshooting attempted:

  • User had already tried all suggestions from Shopify’s AI assistant without success

Suggested solution:

  • Another user recommended unchecking “Ship from this location” in Settings → Location settings

Actual cause & resolution:

  • The issue was self-inflicted: while configuring tiered flat-rate shipping based on order amounts, the user accidentally set the base shipping tier to zero products
  • This meant no products qualified for shipping at any tier, triggering the “sold out” message
  • Once the base tier shipping settings were corrected, the problem was resolved

The thread is now closed with the issue successfully identified and fixed by the original poster.

Product page says “sold out” even when inventory displays >0 quantities. I have done everything suggested by the AI assistant. Makes no sense! Has anyone else had this problem? This is happeneing with Dawn 15.2.0 I assume I’ve done something stupid along the way here…

Hello Jeff @JeffsTreasure Try this

Go into Settings->Location->mylocation->uncheck the box “Ship from this location”. This is likely what is causing the issue.

Hey thanks for the reply! Actually, that wasn’t the issue; my guess that I was doing something stupid was 100% spot on, however. Long story short was that I’d set up flat rate shipping, tiered to different sales amount levels. While working on higher Ievel, I inadvertantly set the base level back to zero products (products at base tier) so, basically, nothing was eligible to be shipped!

Sometimes I amaze myself!

Thanks again for your interest in helping; I appreciate it!
