Hi, I’m having an issue with Admin Dashboard, I can´t open the theme editor (customize) it only returns “page unresponsive”, which affects the website, it is not respondig propaly. please help.
Hey @Ultra-wellness .
Thanks for reaching out.
Did you recent make any manual changes to the coding?
I appreciate that you have included a screenshot of the error you are receiving as that is super helpful! Looking into this, I would suggest attempting to clear the cache on your browser and attempt the action again. If the issue persists, I would then suggest using a separate browser to see if that allows you to use the Theme Editor. As for example - if this error is happening on Safari attempt this action on Google Chrome.
Let me know if that does the trick.
Hi, @Ultra-wellness .
Thanks for reaching out and including a screenshot of the error message you’re receiving.
To gain more insight here, when did this issue within the theme editor first occur? Were there any recent changes made to your store or coding applied?
It looks as though you’re using a third-party theme, Warehouse and the theme editor may have crashed. I’d like to share some steps and workarounds below to see if the issue still persists.
- Previewing in a fresh Shopify theme. This step can help identify if the issue persists on a fresh theme or if changes have been made to the Warehouse theme and the issue populates there.
- Rolling back your theme code. This can be done within your Shopify admin, Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code section. By rolling back your theme code to an earlier time frame we can identify when the issue occurred.
If after trying the above steps you’re still seeing the same error within the theme editor, I’d like you to try the troubleshooting steps listed below.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Try clearing your cache and cookies on your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
- Try a different web browser, as well as incognito or private windows to rule out any browser issues.
- Ensure the web browser is up to date on the latest version. (We don’t support every browser, but we do support these ones)
- Try another device, like another computer or mobile phone.
- Try on the Shopify Mobile app; this is usually the best step to try as it also rules out device issues.
Another option I’d like to provide is contacting the third-party theme developer directly. The Warehouse theme is designed and developed by a third-party and they will be in the best position possible to identify what is causing the issue, if coding was applied and best next steps. Not sure how to contact the theme developer? I’ll share the process below.
How to contact the theme developer of Warehouse:
- Navigate to our Shopify Theme store and search for Warehouse.
- Select the theme developer name underneath the theme name.
- Once on the theme website, select Shopify Support. (This will redirect you to fill out a form including your theme name, issue, a link to your Shopify store and other information.)
