Is it possible to pass the US Dollar value to PayPal using the PayPal Checkout button or some other way from the product page or cart page itself even if the default store currency is not US Dollars?
The reason I want to do this is because Shopify supports only one currency in checkout. So I was thinking if we could show the PayPal checkout button only to the international visitors (based on geo-IP) on the product page itself and pass the US Dollars value to PayPal’s checkout page.
Shopify doesn’t offer markets feature or Shopify payments in my country. There’s no way to bill customers both in local currency and US Dollars. So with my default local currency, many international visitors would drop out since they would like to bill in US Dollars.
I can use an app to display the pricing in US Dollars but that will only be till the cart page. On checkout, it would again default to the local currency. This is a huge bottleneck in Shopify.
If there’s any other solution possible to overcome the above bottleneck, it will be great to know.
