Paying $100 for a solution. Emailing People who have an active paid subscription only

My business has a newsletter that is made every day that customers will pay to see. It will be delivered via Email every day to people that have a paid and active subscription. Once someone stops paying and their subscription becomes inactive I want the news letter I type to stop going to them otherwise they would be getting a product they no longer recieve

I would like to know if there is a way, that if someone pays, I put them in the mailing list for a set amount of time and have them automatically removed after the times up this way they do not get my newsletter I type daily for free.

If I really want to get complex, maybe have a 3rd party app that automatically sees when someone pays through Shopify and adds them to the mailing list for the amount of time the customer paid for. That would be nice to fully automate but I know this one will be a lot trickier. I would be happy if I can just set the time manually but that would be a bonus

Anybody that can help find me a solution will make an easy $100 and I will make sure the solution is posted here!

Hi @WebDesigner10

There is a solution for your predicament, but that will depend on what you’re using for your mailing list. Are you using Shopify’s Customers & Shopify Mail?

Let me know

I have not chosen what emailing system to use yet. I will most likely go with Shopify’s emailing system and yes it will be for Shopify customers

The Arigato Automation – Ecommerce Plugins for Online Stores – Shopify App Store app will solve this from A to Z.

It can automate events, send emails, tag customers, and keep track of properties for the orders. So once a client orders a 3-month subscription you can create a flow saying:

  • When order is created
  • If Product is “3-month sub” & date is less than 3month later
  • Send an email daily (using Gmail)
  • Tag Customer as “Active”

Pretty powerful too, give it a shot!

Ok buddy, thank you so much. I am sending you an email with the subject “Thanks for the help!”

Sure thing, let me know how that works for you before! Cheers

Ok, I have emailed the customer support team of the app because we are not ready to test it out yet lol. I would like to communicate directly. You are getting $100 for helping me with this, but in the future I’ll like to be able to reach you for certain questions we may have in the future relating to our shopify website.

I will not take up much of your time and if we use you for help I will make sure you are paid nicely! Please let me know a phone number I can text you on via whatsapp, or if you have a better way to communicate let me know. Thank you!

We’ve replied back to your email, you should have received it an hour ago or so.

Cheers!
