Hi, so I am dropshipping products from Aliexpress. I ran a test order and it told me after that, that I must fulfil the order. When I go to click fulfil, it takes me to a section where I must pay for a shipping label and enter the items weight etc.
However, the items I am dropshipping from Aliexpress are free delivery, so why am I having to pay for shipping labels?
What does your dropshipping integration with AliExpress look like? For example, are you using one of the third-party dropshipping apps from our App Store to help sync your store orders to AliExpress?
The reason that I ask is because typically, a store with a dropshipping integration wouldn’t be presented with the option to purchase a shipping label directly from your Orders page in the Shopify admin. This is because our system would recognize that the store uses a third-party app to fulfil the orders on the store’s behalf, therefore not requiring the store to purchase any shipping labels on their end.
For more context, for stores that utilizes an app (such as a third-party dropshipping app) for its fulfilment process, depending on the app you’re most likely required to request a fulfilment when an order comes through on your store. From there, this request is sent to your fulfilment service, so that they can begin to prepare and ship the order from their end. The fulfilment status of your order will be updated accordingly on your order timeline to help you keep up to date on how the order is tracking along. You can have a read of this document for more information on this process.
So I’m unsure why the system is asking you to purchase a shipping label on your end—perhaps if you can let me know in more detail about what your dropshipping integration with AliExpress looks like, we can then figure out what your next steps are from there.
