A stealth change went live over the weekend that has caused some major issues with a bunch of our Merchants who create a lot of orders via the shopify admin.
Since Monday the payment_gateways field as well as orders/{id}/transactions.json are empty for all orders created for manual payment methods. One of our larger merchants creates hundreds of orders still via telephone in shopify and the payment_gateways and transactions contain important information for their ERP system as well as for automated processes.
I do hope this change will be reverted ASAP. AS far as I am aware there was no mention of this in the change logs or upcoming changes? I am guessing this breaking change relates to this new “feature”:
Please fix this!
