Payment page does not load from Check-out

Dear fellow Shopifier,

From my Theme editor, I’m trying to buy a Product (to see if it works), but when I click on Pay, it doesn’t load the Payment page for Credit Card or Paypal, for example. I’m using Theme LABEL, bought from the Shopify Theme Store.

Any idea how to solve this?

Your help is really welcome, hopefully you can help me - fingers crossed!

Regards,

Tom

Hi @tomvanschil ,

It’s great that you’re testing out orders on your store Tom! The customer’s experience at every step is crucial, so your attention to detail is excellent. It also sounds like you’re testing out Dynamic Checkout too, which is great.

It is not possible to test out orders from the theme editor. To do that, you would need to place a test order on the store itself. To simulate a transaction on your online checkout, you can set up Shopify’s Bogus Gateway. Bogus Gateway is a payment provider that any store can use to create test orders. While Bogus Gateway is set up, every order that you create is a test order - it’s all in the guide I linked above.

What happens after the successful orders come rolling in though Tom? Have you given much thought to your Email Marketing to follow up with your customers and maintain that brand loyalty? I’d highly recommend you develop an aftercare strategy to keep the conversation going with your customers.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Andrew,

The issue has been solved, thank you.
One small extra question: I have enabled the Google reCPATCHA for my
contact form, but it is not visible.

Any ideas?

Best,
Tom

I’m glad you have resolved that!

When you enable Google reCAPTCHA, customers who make multiple comments or enter comments from an email address that Google considers suspicious, are redirected to the page where they can complete the “not a robot” activity. So unless you have done any or all of the above, you might not see the Google reCAPTCHA at all!
