Payouts Are Paused

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share what’s been happening with our Shopify store in case anyone else is experiencing something similar.

We purchased the store a few months ago, and since then, Shopify has had our payouts paused. Aside from the first 1–2 weeks after the purchase — when payouts worked normally — everything’s been frozen. The message in the admin just says:

“Payouts are paused. Payouts will resume once we review your account. No action is required, but we’ll send an email to your store owner DNB (~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~) if we need more information.”

We haven’t received any communication since, and there’s been no update or request for information. We’ve tried reaching out through support, but we’re just told to wait. It’s really tough not knowing how long this will go on or if we’ll ever receive the funds.

Has anyone gone through something similar, or does anyone have advice on what helped get things moving?

I have reached out to support many times and every time the answer is “This has been escalated”, I’ve escalated this to many different teams however still no response after months of waiting, Never knew a $400 subscription was such a scam.

I have the same problem as you! I have contacted many times but it is not resolved. The answer is always that it has been transferred to a higher level unit. But no one has resolved it.

I have precisely the same issue. Opened my store about 5 weeks ago. I received a $19 payout in the first few days, they put a hold on my payouts. Since then, I have sold many thousands of dollars of product that I can’t access. I have now switched back to my GoDaddy account for selling.

Shopify is horrible.
