Our Shopify store has been live for 2 months now, but payouts are still taking 7 days or longer. I couldn’t find a reasonable explanation for this, even contacted support and nobody could tell me why it’s taking so long. There are no issues with our bank connection (we’ve been getting payments when they are sent), no chargebacks, and the store has been online for 2 months. What’s happening? When I had my own Woocommerce shop, our Stripe payments would get deposited in 2-3 days…

Shopify Payments may delay payouts for new accounts under review, generally for the first 90 days, especially with higher-risk merchandise or if the merchant has experienced recent sales growth. Over time, as you build a steady order history, payout periods will be automatically reduced. To get paid faster, you can also connect an external gateway like Stripe directly and compare processing speed.

Hi there @lensdigital as the first comment already said, it’s just a safety measure put in place by Shopify as one of the strategies to fight the influx of fake merchants who seem to set up stores to just to run a few scams lately so sorry for the delay on that. Did you end up trying to connect an external gateway to make things quicker? I’d like to hear of your experience with that if you did.
I could switch to Stripe gateway, but then I would lose on the lower transaction fees that Shopify gives me at the higher subscription level…
