Paypal Express Checkout disappears when I exit and reenter checkout page

Hello. I just notice now that when I visit my checkout page for the first time, ‘Express Paypal Checkout’ shows fine.

But when I exit and re-enter the checkout page, it disappears.

Any idea why? Thank you!

Hi, @hobimetoyshop !

Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

I understand that you appear to be having issues with the express checkout feature on your store. In order to provide some context, Accelerated checkout buttons are only presented to customers in the storefront or checkout. For instance, if the checkout buttons are added to your cart template, and the customer visits the cart before checkout, then the buttons won’t be shown to the customer again.

This could be what is occurring in your situation as you are navigating back to the cart page from the checkout page. So to fix this, you’ll likely need to remove them from your storefront. However, feel free to share your store URL so that I can attempt to replicate this issue.

Talk soon!

Hi @Mac_2 ! Thank you for getting back to me. My URL is www.hobimetoyshop.com. Can you take a look please? Also, when I click on the checkout button, my page is not giving any hint (i.e., ‘X’ loading on the browser to signify loading) that it is going to the checkout page already.

Thank you in advance!

Hi again, @hobimetoyshop !

Thank you for following up with that additional information and your store url.

While browsing through your store and adding a product to checkout, I noticed that the Accelerated checkout button is being displayed on your cart page. These buttons are only displayed on either your storefront (cart page) or the actual checkout page, so it would not show up on both.

Have you thought about adding a dynamic checkout button to your product page? This will be a great solution as your customers will have the option to checkout directly or add the product to the cart. If you are interested in this, you will have to update your Buy Now buttons text to Add to Cart. I’d suggest changing this as your customers are being routed to the cart page instead of the checkout page. Let me know what you think and we can continue your conversation further!

In terms of the other issue, are you able to provide a screen recording of this from your end, so that I can look into it closer?

Hi @Mac_2 ! Thank you for your explanation. I now activated the Dynamic Checkout on the product details pages. Hoping sales would get better. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi again, @hobimetoyshop !

I’d love to know more about your marketing initiatives and how you are using social media to promote your brand! Do you have any active campaigns?

Wow @Mac_2 , this is going over the required response to my question. I appreciate it!

So to answer your question regarding social media – early this month, I tried to engage with my customers by posting once a day about articles related to anime (I’m mainly an anime toy collector retailer). But one night, I posted more than usual, and I saw a drop in my page likes. So I stopped. Now, I’m trying to figure out what to post.. Then last night, as I was editing my product images on Canva, I figured ‘Hey, why not post the products on facebook/instagram everytime I edit them on Canva?’ So that’s my plan.. What do you think? Because I checked my competitors, and they are not posting some random anime trivia or throwback images. They post the items that are on sale on their page/website.

I was about to launch a Sales Campaign last night, but stopped it to take a closer look into my target audience.

Again, thank you for your extended answers! Really, really great stuff! I’ll check those articles after this post :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi again, @hobimetoyshop !

Absolutely! I appreciate you sharing this additional information. Let’s take a closer look.

It’s great to see that you are trying different methods to see what works and what doesn’t. At the beginning, there can be a lot of trial and error involved as you develop your audience. My main suggestion would be to find a specific demographic and target audience, and do a ton of research about what type of content they digest. We have a guide that covers How to define your target market to get you started. Once that is done, you can curate content that they are most likely to digest.

For instance, If you’re looking to target millennials and Gen Z, then more visual types of content may be best. You can create video content around your products and post them as Reels on Instagram and Facebook.

You can also look to use the popular social media platform, TikTok to expand your audience. This platform is awesome for organic growth as its algorithm is highly optimized to fit the interests of its users. We also have a quick guide on this here, which can help you create content!

Another popular option is to use Snapchat Ads. They can be really effective as you can target potential customers based on demographics, interests and behaviors. Feel free to check out our How to Advertise on Snapchat guide to add this to your marketing campaign.

You also mentioned that your competitors are typically posting content revolving sales and their products. You can slightly replicate this to remain competitive, but take it one step further by also offering a Sales Discount and promoting it with your post.

Let me know how these suggestions work for you, or if you have any other questions!
