Hi Everyone,

Our store had a PayPal wallet issue popup in the last few days, and I wanted to check if others are having the same issue.

Basically, PayPal transactions are now showing up as generic transactions in the payout summary without an order reference number. I’m attaching a screenshot to illustrate. The issue is not present for credit card payments. As you can see, the payment method column is blank unless it’s a credit card payment. The blanks are the PayPal transactions. In the past the order # is always referenced along with a label as a PayPal transaction.

Guessing this might be something on Shopify’s end? We haven’t made any changes to settings etc.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks!

It sounds like a PayPal wallet issue, where the order reference number isn’t showing up on PayPal transactions—likely a glitch either with Shopify or PayPal integration. Hopefully, it gets sorted soon!

Thanks. It does look kind of like an integration glitch. For us, it appeared around January 22nd

I would note we are still able to capture the PayPal wallet transactions. After the capture, the transactions just become generic and the only way to keep track of them is by date or amount manually which makes order management complex.

Additionally, it looks like the payouts are now being bifurcated between PayPal wallet transactions and credit card transactions. In other words, on a given day, one payout is only for PayPal wallet transactions while the other payout is for standard credit card transactions.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks again!
