I am looking for a developer to create auto-emailed PDF attachments for our gift vouchers. We are a Beauty Salon.

When do you wanna send the email? On registration, on adding to cart or when user checks out.
I once did a project where on a button click the user could download a PDF attachment but for the email part i believe will need a third party service, Shopify app or may be an external email service.

Hi, am pretty new to Shopify and certainly not an IT-person. But am learning fast. I needed a pdf generated ‘free guide’. Designed it my self with word/canva, put the pdf in my files, created a workflow (including the form) and added an automated generation of the pdf if conditions are met. I have ‘logged’ this procedure, as with a few changes (gift certificate # for example, I intend to do it that way). Maybe this helps? Sonja from HenryPawHaven.

Thank you so much for the reply. This sounds great. I would be so happy to talk more about working together….. There is so many apps and I dont mind a monthly charge with them but trying to avoid % per voucher charges for an auto pdf.
As @Adrian-Nathalia mentioned this is only possible with apps because without Shopify plus there’s no way to get into checkout.liquid.
One workaround that I can suggest that might save you some bucks over apps is you can implement a button in the thank you page on click of which customers can download the pdf to their device. This makes sure that pdf is only available to users once order is completed.
It does remove that auto email feature but also saves you from installing an extra app.

Hi, this is something my app iziGift can help you with. When people buy gift cards from your store we will send them an email with the gift card in a link and when they click it will open the page so they can print it.

Sure, you have the final say on it. Now you know about the workaround, also I once used a third party email sender for a client which had 200 emails per month free called emailjs. It gives options to create an email template as well.
The only thing that is off atleast in my knowledge of Shopify is you don’t get that automation, but have to work around that thank you page I mentioned earlier.

It’s not precisely what you’re describing, but our app, Keyshop, could be used for either e-mailing a link to a PDF voucher or directly e-mailing an HTML voucher.
It charges 1% of the sales it handles up to a maximum of US$200/month, with no monthly fee, minimum, or any other sort of sneaky charge.

Our PDF certificate app generates a PDF with dynamic data like name, certificate #, order data. PDF is sent to customer in an email as an attachment with the mail provider of your choice.
