People Looking At My Store For Less Than 5 seconds

Hi, I’ve recently started a Shopify store (www.songsauce.co.uk) and I am pushing traffic to it using paid social ads. However, I am yet to get any sales and when using a session analyser (peek replay) I am seeing most people simply loading the site and immediately clicking off it. Can anyone help me out? I thought I had designed the site well and am selling what I thought was a good product but I am getting such short site visits it’s impossible to sell anything. Please help!

If visitors struggle to quickly and effortlessly find what they’re looking for, they will become frustrated and leave.

  • Make sure your website works well on smartphones and tablets because more and more people are using these devices to shop online.

  • Ensure your product descriptions are concise and easily comprehensible. It’s crucial for people to understand what your products are and why they should make a purchase. Ambiguous or confusing descriptions can deter potential customers.

  • Check the competitiveness of your prices. If your prices align with similar products offered by other retailers, people are more likely to choose you. Conduct market research to determine appropriate pricing.

  • Consider implementing discounts or promotions to attract new customers and incentivize existing ones to make additional purchases.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of your marketing strategies. Are you utilizing paid advertising, social media, and other channels efficiently to drive traffic to your website? If not, it may be worthwhile to invest in marketing efforts.

  • Incorporate high-quality images and videos on your product pages. Visual representation plays a significant role in boosting the likelihood of purchases.

  • Utilize social proof to build trust and credibility. Showcase customer reviews, testimonials, and awards on your website.

  • Simplify the checkout process to make it a breeze for customers to place their orders. Create a website that is easy to navigate and guides customers smoothly through entering their shipping and billing details, as well as making payments.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to encourage customers to come back. Respond quickly and politely to customer questions, and make sure to meet their needs effectively.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Gina
